Introduction of Myself!

Hi! My name is Daniella Rojas. I am currently an Elementary Education major at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus. I am endorsing in Math, which most people tell me I am insane for doing. I have always had a special love for math. From kindergarten to the summer before my sophomore year my dad took me to School & Carnival (the local teacher supply store which is now closed) and bought be workbooks for the math I would be learning the next school year. He would assign me four pages to do every day. He would grade them, ask my why I missed the questions I missed, and use those moments as teaching opportunities to help me grow into a math lover. He would also find test online that matched the lessons I was doing in my workbooks; I usually had a test every Friday morning. I guess you could say that I went to school all year round, but my hardcore, education-loving father helped me grow a love for the subject I want to teach, math. I would like to say that I'm pretty technology savvy. As a child growing up in the '90s technology was used pretty much on a daily basis for me. I know there is a lot for me to learn, and that is where I hope IT 365 will help me. I am excited to see how I will develop as a teacher and technology user. I hope that the skills I learn in this class will help me relate and enrich my future students!
